Final for Cancun - Don't Blame The Roommates!

This week the final episode of The Real World Cancun aired, and like all the other crazy episodes this season, there was one surprising moment that just made your jaw drop. How can I compare the makeup, and hookup, of mortal enemies Ayiiia and Joey? It’s like Batman sending the Joker a Valentine; Ali using velvet gloves on Joe Frazier; Seinfeld making up with Newman; or Rosie O’Donnell becoming Donald Trump’s eighth wife – you just never saw it coming!
But that seemed to be the way things were every day at the Suite ME. Was it the unique combination of roommates that made this one a nonstop ride? No, I think it was Cancun. That beautiful ocean and warm sunshine, combined with a never ending stampede of oiled-up, half-naked Spring Breakers is too much temptation for anyone. Our apologies to the boyfriends and girlfriends of the roommates who waited back home – you never stood a chance. Just know that it wasn’t you.
Cancun is the place where skinny pale Canadian DJ’s can become the ultimate chic magnet…where hydrant-tossing pranksters can bed down with a Playboy model…where painted rockers can tattoo “Fuck MTV” on their bodies – and still be a star on MTV! Don’t blame Ayiiia, Joey, Jasmine, Bronne, CJ, Emilee, Derek, or Jonna for what happened – praise them instead for getting back home in one piece with their sanity, looks, and some of the best spring break stories ever.
Representing the entire crew of The Real World, I want to thank the Cancun roommates for being so brave, opening their lives to us, and keeping it real. Thank you to LMFAO and 30h!3 – you guys were just so cool. Thank you to Christina and StudentCity.com for believing in their company and their product; and allowing us to videotape their staff, day and night, without fear – and to help us see all that Cancun has to offer. Thanks to the ME Hotel…I just want one more day in that pool, sipping Cadillac margaritas, dining on ceviche (the mango variety), and just looking at that amazing blue sea. Four months in Cancun, it went by way too fast. How about a reunion series? THIS spring?
