I personally think that everyone is entilted to their opinion...even if it's not what we think appropriate. Kim is so young and w/out others loving her through issues such as racism she will never learn a thing. Also, why would someone say that they hoped Kim would get beat up at a club? What's true about kim is that being from the south, unfortunately, there are STILL many white people who believe the sterotypes of blacks and other minorities. Me having spent considerable time in both north, AND south, I would know. Sometimes the difference is night and day. Michigan to Alabama, being in that minority group, you can actually FEEL racism. 2008 doesn't bring the end of racism, just a better disguise. If I had to deal with racism, I'd rather it be from someone making it known than someone smiling in my face and talking behind my back. Kim AND Bri used the term "ghetto" out of context and they were BOTH wrong for it. Kim, however took it to more of an extreme. There WAS that racial undertone that she put on it and it should be known. So kim is naive, remember that not everyone has had the experiences, and been the places you've been and seen what you've seen. That does not explain her behavior, but should facilitate your understanding and make it easier to reconcile and shed light on her lack of knowledge. Help her, don't put her down. Reach her, and she reaches 2, who reach 2, think about how much different this situation could have happened.

I absolutely agree that she is ignorant at times, well almost all the time but I dont think that she is a racist. When she used the word Ghetto I think that she used it out of pure anger and frustration. She probably got it from watching tv and seeing it refered to black people acting direspectful. From where she is from i'm thinking that there are a lot of white people who dont burst out screaming and hollerin like Briana did so Kim is probably not used to that behavior.
