I'm not saying that racism doesn't exsist I'm just saying that people need to get over it if they want "caucasians" to get over it.

I dont know where you live but if you think people has gotten over racism in this country then your wrong. There are still places in America where caucasians believe that mexicans and blacks should be hanged. I'm a hispanic truck driver and when I go to Utah and Colorado, etc., etc. I am being called a n***er. Its alot worse when I go to the east coast like Maine and Tennesse. I go to a buffet restaurant and their telling me to take it to go or get out of their restaurant. My point is that racism is never going to end and I have no idea why caucasians feel that they own this country. So you need to come out of disneyland RealTalk101 and check what your saying. Were trying to live in the future but how can we when were still dealing with prejudice.

Please excuse the typing errors below (areas*, appeared*, people person*, based on a few*) I was typing fast in response to all the narrow minded, inconsiderant, offensive, ignorant, and some outright predjudice statements that I read. The response below was geared toward ItsYaGurlSteph.

It is not about "color to the f****** word" or "a guilty conscience" or "pulling the racial card". It was about the context in which KKKim used the term and the following statements that she made thereafter i.e. "the blackest of blacksville".

However, you are right about one thing, "a ghetto simply means ghetto", which can range in its composition of people. The first ghettos were comprised of Jewish and Italian immigrants. Ghetto means a lot of things, but it is not classified to only one ethnicity, and all things in the ghetto are not neccessarily negative. It's a way of life and a circumstance. Speaking slang does not make you ghetto because every culture has its way of communicating, its own traditions, and styles. A culture is not narrowed down to an ethnic group. Cultures range from ares, neighborhoods, families, regions, friends, race, eras, ect. We are all apart of several culures. My family has their own culture. I live in the midwest culture. I am apart of the black culture. My friends and I have a culture. We are all like-minded, educated, goal-oriented, and non- predjudice.

I did casework a couple of years ago. 95% of my clients were white. Many of them lived in trailer parks. Others lived in beautiful areas, but kept their houses filthy and appeered to be overall disfuctional and financially unstable. The few black clients that I serviced had well kept houses and were financially stable. I was there because they "whooped" their children. I was not surprised by my findings, but I also did'nt form any generalizations about blacks or whites based on a few dozen families. I am people person and I know better than to judge an entire population of people on a few.

I agree with OKKK, however, one thing that you need to realize is that the "ghetto" is not a glorious place. Anyone who has been there knows what its like. It should not be used as a way to glorify attitude. To you Itsyagurlsteph, well, what can I say, go to the ghetto and COUNT the number of whites you see there. Hey, whether you like the way it sounds or not, the fact is they are predominantly those with lower socio economical status. Hey, who makes up that bunch?? Not just blacks, but a vast majority of minorities. That's the truth, the facts. The whole "ghetto" attitude is just an extention of those tired and fed up with that life and want better. Its no nonsense bcuz no one came to hand them ****, or even a hand, so they expect everyone else to get up and do what they have to do too. No silver spoons. To even this convo out, minorities have the ghetto's, and to the rest there are trailer parks. I've seen trailer parks too, I'd prefer that to the ghetto ANY day.
