The Real World: Brooklyn?

Okay I heard from vevmo.com that the next season of the real world will be in Brooklyn. Cool, but it seems boring to me. They had 2 seasons is New York & I understand Brooklyn is different from the city but why can't they do it in a place like Atlanta, Orlando, Charleston, Columbia, etc. Those would be interesting cities, especially Atl & Orlando. What do yall think?

I agree with nextmadonna, it all depends on the roommates that get casted.... Can the producers of RW bring back that 90's feel that we miss?? Whats lacking in the past 5 seasons is the people casted get along all-the-bit to well for my liking and also they seem to cast people who probably appear much different in there auditions but are afraid to truly show there differences on camera... I dunno we need people we can relate to like back in the 90's i guess...

I don't understand how you people can say there is nothing to do in Brooklyn. Each one of the boroughs is an exciting and unique part of NYC. Does it even really matter where they film it? It's all up to the roommates to make it interesting/lame. And also, those of you who said you aren't going to watch it probably said the same thing about Hollywood, yet here you are talking about it all over the internet!

Okay my mistake on the Orlando. I got it mixed up. But they still were in Orlando, even if only for a week. The reasoning behind them even going back to NY for the 21st season is to go back to where it started. The first season was the realest season they had, because it was before they started getting all these hollywood wannabes. You still never answered my question as to whether you've been to NY before. YOu can't just go based off of what you see on TV. They were in the city the other two times they were in NY, so putting it in Brooklyn is a different approach. But if they keep with the dramatic types they've been casting it shouldn't make much of a difference I guess. I just wish the kids did more than just get drunk and fight all the damn time. Because that would make it seem like there is all to do in the places they have been putting them in. They should broaden the age gap a bit more though. Hmm since they're filming in NY now, I wonder if they'll have some scenes from the Gay Pride Parade...and the Puerto Rican Day parade...give it some more substance. And you guys say NY is boring.

when you said the real world took place in orlando, you must have been thinking about when key west had to evacuate due to a hurricane & they stayed in orlando for a week.

haha where did you get your info on a real world orlando? no such thing. they've only done miami & key west. i just think its boring & new york is old. sorry if that's my opinion. they need to choose other places than just new york or california! deal with someone having a different opinion than yours!

Have you ever been to Brooklyn? Matter of fact have you been in Brooklyn in the past three years? Like I said there is PLENTY to do in Brooklyn, and I don't mean just partying either. But there are a lot of bars/clubs in Brooklyn. Not just that, you have Prospect Park, Downtown, shopping is endless there. Its a lot more cultured than people think. You have the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, The Brooklyn Museum. Street Fairs. ANd don't forget the West Indian Labor Day Parade. Plus they are in the middle of building the new NETS stadium there. You guys watch too much TV to sit there and say there isn't **** to do in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is a large place. With every culture. Like I said you can be broke and still find ways to entertain yourself. Also in the summer there are sooo many street ball tournaments, they could even give them a job coaching a team or something. I've been to Orlando, and not just disney world. They already did a real world Orlando. Evidentally it wasn't all that exciting if no one remembers it being there. It was okay. But yeah I did my research before I commented. Like I said don't sleep on Brooklyn. Yall watch too much TV...talk to some people who live there. There is always something to do in NY. ALWAYS

Atl & Orlando overrated? PLEASE! its different & no one's done yet. Yet they want to go back to new york for a 3rd damn time? Its like them doing Cali again...LAME LAME LAME! there are so many other cities to choose, why brooklyn? i prolly won't watch it either. new york just seems outdated & overrated! no too mention there's a **** more to do in atlanta & orlando, have you ever even visited there? i've been to both cities plenty of times & they never get old, so much to do!

Atlanta and Orlando are overrated by the way. Oh and to the person that said Baltimore, its too hood out there for them to put the real world there. Yeah there are some decent areas there, but for the most part the gang scene is too prevalent for them to safely put a cast there. You might as well say they should have DC Real World.

You have no idea how different Brooklyn is. They'll be in Williamsburg though, so it may not be that exciting in the neighborhood, but the club scene is definitely poppin, plus there is so much more to do without having to drive everywhere. If you've never been to Brooklyn, then you can't judge it. Maybe I'm biased because I was born and raised in Brooklyn, but its about time people saw just how much it has changed. I really think they should have put them in the new condominiums near where they are about to put the Nets stadium. Or maybe they should have put them in Crown Heights or Park Slope, but maybe next time they do NY they'll consider that.
There is PLENTY to do in NY, and you don't need a ton of money to do it. And being that they are filming in the summer there will be even more to do. Don't sleep on Brooklyn, there's more to it than the hood Jay Z speaks of.

I think I would have to agree. . . I think I could help the production with some good ideas . .
