I don't really find it disgusting, I just think it's funny how confused Joey looked, especially at 00:55. He didn't know what to do. He didn't want to hurt Derek but he really wanted him to stop but Derek wouldn't. The reason why Derek kept spitting on the floor was because he felt resentful for being hit in the mouth by CJ.
