Why can't we just not have war and stop killing each other?

A draft isn't necessary because we have enough idiots willing to volunteer to join the army that we don't need to force anyone to go. What's particularly sad to me, is that the military sends recruiters to these little outback, rural cities to entice kids straight out of high school with no prospects for their future with a quick buck. These kids join because they need a way to pay for school, or have no other viable options for their lives, and they end up in a bullshit war to serve the imperialistic agenda of politicians on Washington hill. They lose limbs, and sometimes their sanity only to come back to this country with nothing. You see them sitting under bridges holding cardboard signs that say "WILL WORK FOR FOOD". So much for a country that appreciates your so-called service to the country!

The you have idiots like Ryan, who glorify the war, and say stupid things like, "9/11 was the most important day of my life". Guys like him should be in Iraq and they should bring the soldiers that don't want to be there home. They should bring back the guys that are politically astute enough to know that the war on terrorism really never had a damn thing to do with terrorism. Bring back the guy over there that could care less about a purple badge of honor, and would rather stay home and work at McDonalds than go overseas to **** a foreign country in the name of Democracy and freedom.

Great. More glorification of the army life. I hope he has to leave the show and go back to Iraq really soon and let a soldier that knows the war is some bullshit come home.
