The thing with Jemmye is the typical psychological profile of an abuse woman. It's a lot about having a poor sense of identity and self-esteem. For us outside the situation is easier to realize those things, and to judge those that "allowing it". If it were that easy for them, they wouldn't have been abused in the first place. Until she addresses those deeper issues, she could find herself in that situation again.... more
